We went to check out the Vivienne Westwood exhibition recently and felt like we read her biography. Her passion is clearly shown in her work, and it's almost like we were going through her life story right before our eyes. . . from her early stage toying with punk to developing a tribal look is a huge contrast. Going onto the 80s, being one of the hottest designer back then, I was already a huge fan, saving up every penny for a pair of ridiculous high lace-up high platform with my tiny pay cheque. I was following very closely with the brand growth and was thrilled to see the gold and red label appeared. Today the label continue in a more luxurious direction, and not to mention her gowns are simply exquisite.
VW I feel is different to a lot of designers in a very obvious way, she doesn't stick with one style or one look, she evolves and develop as she ages and in my heart no matter how much she ages, she does it gracefully and with style. . . VV xoxo
